The HD1501 from Mackie is a powered subwoofer that delivers powerful bass from a lightweight and compact design. An ideal companion to the HD-series 2-way loudspeakers, the sub has a ported bass-reflex birch cabinet to provide tight, punchy low frequency reinforcement. The cabinet houses a high-power 15″ woofer that was designed by EAW to deliver bass frequencies as low as 36Hz.
The internal Class-D amplifier provides a peak power of 1200W for an incredibly strong performance with low distortion. The efficient amplifier design results in fast recovery and high SPL levels. Active electronics include a symmetrical Linkwitz-Riley crossover, precision tuning filters for accurate bass, plus phase alignment to work perfectly with full-range loudspeakers. The sub has dual XLR inputs, plus full-range and high-pass XLR outputs for mono or stereo applications.
The sub has level and phase controls so you can adjust the performance to meet your needs. LED indicators give a visual display of subwoofer status, including when the integrated limiter or protection circuitry are engaged. The top of the subwoofer has a standard pole socket for easily mounting a full-range loudspeaker.
